“Oh you who believe! Fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you, that you may learn piety and righteousness"
As we enter the blessed month of Ramadan, I wanted to give that last blog of the whole month...
Nothing too heavy...
But just an answer to questions I have been getting about why the 'silence' during this month..
My BIGGEST rule in Intimacy with my husband is to always have that QUALITY time - where it really and truly is just me and him; talking and sharing the burdens and laughters and everything.
How do WE make sure this is truly QUALITY time and not just sitting next to each other time?
A total SWITCH OFF from the world... Yes, phones away, laptops away; the world of social media (which I do not condemn in any way!) all that is put away so we can SOLELY focus on the words coming out of each others mouths.
I love this time together and in the madness of parenthood, work and life's many stresses; these moments we have together reminds us of the mercy & love of Allah.. how Allah has brought two people together to complete each other's life in so many ways.
The Messenger of Allah (saw) said:"... whoever fasts during Ramadan out of sincere faith and hoping to attain Allah's rewards, all his past sins will be forgiven."
I keep pondering on SINCERE... This month flies by so quick.. The time of fasting goes by so quick... and what remains of those very short night hours for terawih, tahajjud and fajr goes in the blink of an eye! The time when I can be the closest to Allah SWT.. How can I make sure this time is truly SINCERE?
Well.. every night I make sure my QUALITY time with my husband is SINCERE by giving him my TOTAL FOCUS.. everything around me is non existent just so I can hear him talk...
Therefore... Why should I not give my Lord, My Creator that TRUE SINCERE FOCUS? In one month if I can switch off from worldly needs to focus sincerely to attain Allah's rewards, then maybe, just maybe, My duas will be accepted InshaAllah.
We pray you have a blessed Ramadan and all your dua's and fasts are accepted. Please keep us in your duas and the muslim ummah around the world.
PS. Orders can be placed and will be sent out as usual. Personal 1:1 questions will be answered after Ramadan inshaAllah.
